Welcome to the official Na’Aleh site
The NAALE program, was established in 1992 as a joint initiative of The Prime Minister’s Office -- through Nativ -- and The Ministry of Education. Its mission is to invite Jewish high school students worldwide to study in Israel. The program is fully subsidized through the combined generosity of the Israeli Government and The Jewish Agency.
There are many ‘NAALE’ sites on the internet, but this is the only official site of the NAALE high school program in Israel. NAALE carries out its mission within the framework of Israel government.
More than 10,000 high school age students have come to Israel since the inception of the NAALE program. We carry out the program in tens of schools across all of Israel. And we have successfully placed students in all streams of high school programs recognized and approved by The Ministry of Education.
Though the name of the program resembles the word Aliya, students enrolled in the NAALE program maintain the visa status with which they entered the country until the end of their high school studies. No commitment for Aliya, not of the student or her/his parents, is required or even requested.
The epic tale of NAALE embraces tens of thousands of people; from currently enrolled students to alumni to parents, from host families to educators and through this site we hope to reach out to many others in Israel and abroad. And it is that tale that we wish to share through this site. From general information about NAALE -- “Let My People Know” -- to specific practical information directed at those candidates who have chosen to join this special program -- “Let My People Go”.
The site will have information on all the schools in which NAALE students are currently enrolled as well as a real-time component to share the goings-on in NAALE from all over Israel. The site will also allow for interested parties to develop forums of all kinds within the broad constellation of Na’Aleh.
